my sister's new cat

 

The latest cat my sister just got was under very unusual circumstances. Her next door neighbour was deaf meaning he couldn't hear anything, so we used to help him out. About a month ago we were cleaning out the gutters around his house and chopping down some trees to keep the leaves from landing on his roof, mainly because the trees were actually on my sister's property on the fence line and he lived along the back fence. Anyway he seemed alright and we got on quite well as we always did despite the fact that he couldn't hear anything and we would tap him on the shoulder when something with getting dangerous like a tree branch was going to fall down or something. Anyway a little while after that his cat was spending a lot of time at my sister's place and we didn't really think anything of it, until we saw the police car outside this guy's house. Anyway it turned out he had died in his sleep, we think he was in his 50s and he would been dead for 2 weeks before someone raised the alarm. My sister was concerned but as he had a timer on his lights and they kept switching on and off she didn't check to see if he was alright. The cat was completely traumatised as I think the cat didn't know what was going on as her master never moved, the cat was going in and out of the house the whole time. Anyway the cat now stays at my sister's house but we can't touch it, it will keep running away. My sister had to deal with the police as she was the next door neighbour's best friend and saw him the most. I think we were all traumatised a little bit as the last time I saw him he was healthy I thought.
